Today Show appearance

We’re scheduled to be on the the Weekend Today Show this Sunday, sometime between 8:30 and 9:00 am. People keep asking us if we’re nervous and the answer is, of course we’re nervous.

Who gets up in front of millions of people without getting nervous? That’s not to say we’re not excited and honored too. We’ve been on the show before and it’s always lots of fun. But the pressure is definitely on. We have 3 1/2 minutes to tell people about our latest book. 3 1/2 minutes, for goodness sake!

What amazes us is how much work and preparation goes into those 3 1/2 minutes. And no matter how many times we do this, we can never quite squeeze in everything we want to say. It’s like you get this one shot to tell the world about a book that you know can help them and if you forget to mention an important point, you’ve blown the whole opportunity.

So…yes, we are nervous. Very excited, but nervous too. Hope you can watch!

Well, 3 1/2 minutes is still a challenge but we’ll sure try! Thanks so much for your support.

I’m going to DVR the show so I don’t miss it. Good luck!I’ve read all of your books and each has been a positive influence on my life. Just finished Changing Your Course and I’m going back to the beginning to start the 5-step process. I’m so glad you decided to share your knowledge and expertise. I’ve been wanting to do something else with my life for years and just couldn’t focus on how to do it or find the courage to start. Your books have helped me change that.

I’m not sure if I can watch our show. We had our moving/garage sale and after being married for 34 years we no longer own a TV. We are going to close on our house in about 2 weeks. We will begin out new life, We are going to live in out camping trailer during the summer at Sodus Bay NYhttp://www.photography-plus.com/image_pages/SodusBay.htm and buy a place to live in for the winter in Florida. My dream is to own a beach bar on St. Thomas. )not my wife’s)

We have visited Anguilla and spent the day at Gwen’s Reggie Beach bar. Our taxi driver autographed one of your books because he was mentioned in it. Anguilla is a fabulous secret!

    Hi everyone,

We’ve just learned that our segment on the Today Show has been postponed for a week or two due to the untimely, shocking death of Tim Russert. They will be dedicating the entire show to his work and accomplishments.

    LWYL,
