We collect information on www.livewhatyoulove.com (the “Site”) in order to make it possible for you to access all the features on the Site and to enhance your overall experience on the Site. Information Provided by You

When you visit the Site, you will be invited to provide personal information to purchase books and other products, join our mailing list, participate in our blog or post comments. To purchase a book or any other product, you will be asked for your name, billing and shipping addresses, e-mail address, credit card number and credit card expiration date. To join our mailing list or participate in our blog, you will be asked for your name, e-mail address and to indicate your age bracket. To share a story you will be asked for your name, e-mail address, mailing address and phone number.

Information Shared With Third Parties

We may use your contact data to send you information about LWYL, as well as information about Bob and Melinda Blanchard’s books, appearances and other news. You may always opt out of receiving future mailings – see the “Opt Out” section below.

In addition, we may employ outside agents, meaning other companies or individuals to perform functions on our behalf, such as sending postal mail and e-mail, conducting sweepstakes and other promotional activities, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments and providing customer service. These LWYL agents have access to personal information needed to perform their functions. Other than our outside agents and certain LWYL suppliers and vendors, we keep all of your personal information private and will not share it with any third party, unless you have authorized us to or we are legally required to do so. California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our customers who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, information about the personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. If applicable, this information would include a list of the categories of personal information that was shared and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared information in the immediately preceding calendar year. Security of your information

When you purchase anything through the Site, we need to obtain your credit card number, expiration date and billing and shipping address information. This information is encrypted and transmitted over the Internet where it is used for billing purposes only and not stored on our server.
Our Site has security measures in place intended to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. We strive to protect your personal information, however, LWYL cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.

Correcting or Updating Personal Information

If your personal information changes, we will gladly correct, update, or remove any data you have previously provided to us. You may change your personal information at any time by sending LWYL an e-mail at livewhatyoulove@lwyl.com. We may retain a copy of the prior version for our records.

Opt Out

LWYL may send users news about new offerings and special projects. To help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we may receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from LWYL. IP Address

We automatically track IP (internet protocol) addresses for statistical purposes. IP addresses are logged per user’s session and help to determine how often areas on the Site are visited. LWYL does not track IP addresses with any of your personal information, so we will never link an IP address to a specific user. These terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to any principles of conflicts of law. You agree that any action at law or in equity that arises out of or relates to any use of the LWYL Site will be filed only in the state or federal courts located in New York County, and you hereby consent and submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action.
